What is ADSL2+ Internet?

ADSL2+ is the most popular form of home internet connection in Australia. The internet is connected through your existing home telephone line through an ADSL2+ splitter, meaning you can still use the telephone whilst using the internet.

The download speed of ADSL2+ connections is dependent on a number of factors such as the distance from your residence to the ADSL2+ exchange. The theoretical maximum download speed of an ADSL2+ connection is 20Mbps, though the most common speeds achieved are around 8-12Mbps, which is fine for everyday web browsing.
